HRH have announced the second wave of bands who’ll play at the GLORIOUS TWELFTH HARD ROCK HELL at Camp HRH in Pwllheli, between Thursday 8th and Sunday 11th November 2018.
HRH have announced the Thursday headliners will be: MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST.
The legendary “Blonde Bomber” Michael Schenker is the world’s greatest rock guitarist. He recorded his first album with the SCORPIONS at age fifteen. At just seventeen he joined the British rockers UFO.
At twenty-four he began an illustrious solo career that spanned four decades.
He auditioned for The Rolling Stones in the mid-1970s (following Mick Taylor’s dismissal.) He also auditioned for Aerosmith in 1979 after Joe Perry left. After the death of Randy Rhoads, Ozzy Osbourne called Schenker to replace Rhoads, but at that point Schenker had already embarked on a solo career and had founded the Michael Schenker Group (MSG).
Recently, Michael has been recording with his band the MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST, who are preparing the release of their forthcoming studio album ‘Resurrection’ (treleased on 2nd March).
Michael Schenker Fest includes original M.S.G musicians Ted Mckenna (drums, keys), Chris Glen (bass) and Steve Mann (guitar), also M.S.G. singers Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley, as well as Doogie White (of Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock.)
