BRAVE RIVAL — cardiac extravaganza

The stunning and supersonically ascendant double female-fronted blues-rock razzle-dazzle machine BRAVE RIVAL have released a storming new single, “Heart Attack” which is the lead track from their forthcoming album, “Life’s Machine” — due May 6th 2022.

a bramble basket of leather ‘n’ lace bunched hard against gigantic tussles of rhythm…

Heart Attack is a raucous rock belter that came from our guitarist’s crunchy guitar riff,” says BR’s co-lead singer Lindsey Bonnick. “It was one of the first songs we wrote when our guitarist Ed Clark joined the band. For the bridge we took inspiration from Pink Floyd to make it atmospheric with the heart beats and vocal harmonies…

Johnny Henderson’s [Elles Bailey] Hammond adds to the huge sound,” she says.

Lifes Machine

Brave Rival were recently nominated for “Best Emerging Blues Artist Of The Year” at the UK Blues Awards 2022.

We’ve described their live show as a “multidimensional experience: sweet, sour, tall, short, light and dark… a tumble into incredible-ness!

While the latest release, “Heart Attack” (video shared below) is a bramble basket of leather ‘n’ lace bunched hard against gigantic tussles of rhythm, sticky-stretched bass-notes, and some deliciously polymathic guitar-work. Exhilarating!

They recorded the sounds in the picturesque Surrey countryside at Mayfair Studios. The band enlisted the talents of record producer and engineer Tarrant Shepherd, an up-and-coming maestro of the control room who cut his teeth with Brit Award winning producer Greg Haver and award- winning multi-platinum producer and engineer Clint Murphy.
