On July 17th, 2026, PARKER BARROW, the Nashville blues-rock group led by vocalist Megan Kane (whose voice we have described as ‘roiling, velvety, and fire-lit…’), will release their second album, “Hold The Mash.”
Parker Barrow’s captivating vintage vibe incorporates elements of blues, soul, and southern rock, though the band’s style is unquestionably and absolutely their own.
The band’s name is derived from Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the infamous American bank robbers from the early Great Depression period. “Jukebox Gipsies”, the band’s 2023 debut album, was a major contender on lists of the “Best of 2023.”
The new album features songs from last year’s Hold the Mash EP, with the singles “Make It,” “Novocaine,” “The Healer,” and “Glass Eyes Cryin’,” alongside four new songs that include the band’s latest single “Blinded”(video shared below).
“Blinded” (written by drummer Dylan Turner & guitarist Alex Bender) is a sun-kissed sway featuring a distinctly recognizable English hard-rock riff, reminiscent of Andy Fraser (of Free), with Megan’s vocals becoming a blend of grit and smoothness like asphalt and butterfat, though served in a retro 1960s ramekin of sound!.With handclaps, dazzling keyboard work, and skilled backing vocals, this single is super–impressive!
