ROCK PEN — Rock Journalism Conference

RAW RAMP in collaboration with Ramzine and XL Music Promotions are planning a special one-day conference for music writers and rock journalists.

The ROCK PEN Conference will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 — so put a note in your diary.

The event promises an exciting networking experience that will provide a number of panels, key notes and other engaging activities for anyone involved in the business of rock journalism — whether in print, online or in the broadcast media…
It will take place at the famous Facebar music venue in Chatham Street, Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom.

The musical town has, of course, been the base of the Reading Festival since 1971 and was home to Mike Oldfield, Neil Halstead [Slowdive] David Byron [Uriah Heep] and pop singer Alma Cogan. Arthur Brown, Jamie Cullum, and Andy Mackay [Roxy Music] are amongst several names associated with the town’s University

The event promises to be an exciting networking experience that will provide a number of panels, key notes and other engaging activities for anyone involved in the business of rock journalism — whether in print, online or in the broadcast media. The event is also open to those who are planning to #WriteForRock

Early bird tickets are available now from EventBrite and registration covers an entire day of activities that will include a networking lunch, an appreciation awards ceremony and an evening concert.

This event is for rock music journalists, fanzine contributors, rock media, rock music bloggers, students of music journalism, and anyone involved in writing for rock.
Places are limited, so register today.
