The Rocket Dolls

The fab Brighton rock trio THE ROCKET DOLLS have released a thrilling new single The Grip… and to tally with the track launch, the band has also announced a full UK headline tour scheduled for May 2020 (dates below) which will include an aeroballistic jet-packed launch party in their home-town at Chalk, Brighton on Mayday, 1st May.

Following the first single Enthusiasm And Fumes, The Grip further demonstrates the band’s panoramic songwriting capacity. The Dolls are never afraid to tap into the abundant and versatile rock/pop palette, to assimilate ingredients from other sub-genres to ingeniously conflate them into their own sound to create remarkable and polymorphous new sounds.

The Grip – scuzzy chords, clattering percussion, bold bass-play and a groovy T.Rex vibe…
So The Grip (video shared below) has scuzzy chords, clattering percussion, bold bass-play and a groovy T.Rex vibe that brings something that’s danceable, sing-alongable and clappable. The number comes with incredible vocals and a splurging chorus you will want to belly-flop right into.

Front-man Nikki Smash says: “The Grip is about that tense moment before you explode with rage. The video takes you into our ‘The Rocket Dolls Twisted Circus’ featuring three Twisted Circus Dolls on the edge of lunacy. Welcome to The Grip.”

Their forthcoming album The Art Of Disconnect is due for worldwide release on 1st May 2020. It can be pre-ordered here >>
