NEVERMAN — e=mcK

NEVERMAN is a collective name for four Portsmouth based individuals. The band was born out of a dark time when Matt McGowan’s (vox & guitar) crushed larynx prevented him from singing.

Neverrman – pummeling energy and deliberative, well-reasoned lyrics…

Matt’s voice made its way back after three years and, by then, he had a huge, bioaccumulated backlog of songs that needed to be brought out of their imprisonment.

The other three personalities: Liam Nesbitt on drums, Aaron Payne on bass and Craig Arnold on lead guitar came together through chance meetings.

Their songs tend to convey pummeling energy and deliberative, well-reasoned lyrics.

We thought the first track taken from the February EP release “It’s Not A Prison, It’s A Prism” titled “Ibiza 98” was “brisk with dapper beats and some elongated, uber-chamfered bass-notes…

Another stand-out track taken from the 2020 EP is titled “e=mcK” which has apparitional guitar, scroungy beats and a fascinating voice that’s filled with possibilities.
