CHILDCARE — Getting Over You

London guitar rockers CHILDCARE with Ed Cares (lead vocals) Emma Topolski (bass) Rich Legate (guitar) and Glyn Daniels (drums.)

Childcare – sweetened by fine cushiony voices…
have tuned & sharpened their live show with appearances in Reading and Leeds and on the BΔSTILLEnational tour.

They released an acclaimed EP earlier this year titled “Made Simple.”

Now they have released their next single, titled “Getting Over You (By Dressing Up Like You)” — shared below — we had a listen:

There are a lot of nice chords, a convincing rhythm and the whole treat is sweetened by fine cushiony voices on this splendid junket.

It has a bit of a Strokes vibe, but maybe those clear neo soul style lead vocals remind us of the beautiful Curtis Mayfield. This contains elements of sharply observed britpop and treacly indie rock.

A wonderful wave of light-hearted & honest pop.
