SAMANTHA MARTIN + DELTA SUGAR are set to launch their outstanding live album, “A Beautiful Buzz” via Gypsy Soul Records on May 22nd 2026.
In anticipation, the band have released the third single from the album, titled “Them Changes.”
Recorded during the band’s “Love Is All Around” tour across Western Canada in 2022, the new album captures the potent raw energy, the soulful depth, and the collective spirit that define this troupe of master-musicians as one of Canada’s most thrilling live musical entertainments.

“Them Changes,” Buddy Miles’s soul-rock masterpiece, has become an iconic representation of late 1960s funk-rock, and is characterized by its captivating rhythm, intense feeling, and undeniably compelling momentum.
Samantha Martin + Delta Sugar have given this classic piece a meritorious makeover, infusing it with their distinctive vintage soul and powerful roots sounds. The result is a vibrant, rich rendition that showcases this band’s accomplishments as a spirited ten-piece ensemble. Fueled by a solid, groove-oriented rhythm section and highlighted by fiery horn arrangements, this fresh take on a beloved classic boosts the original’s confidence and leans more into the gospel and Southern soul vibrations that were perhaps more discreet in the original.
